Recreational Tree Climbers

Tackt-Isle Adventures is an exciting outdoor activity centre based at the picturesque St. Helens Duver. Returning again this year from the 26th May to 3rd June, immerse yourself in a theatrical live-action Cowboy Show at Blackgang Chine. Victoria’s Fabulous Garden Party

Disc Golf Championships
Head on over to Robin Hill Country Park and take part in the first Disc Golf Championship on their 9-hole disc golf course! With daily competitions happening from the 26th May to 3rd June for both children and adults, the whole family can take aim and join in the fun. Isle of Wight Steam Railway
There’s lots to keep the whole family entertained at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway – from the thrill of the sight and sound of powerful majestic steam engines to the new Train Story Discovery Centre. You can even take a ride on a steam train! Find out more here.
Get Active
The Isle of Wight Festival of Running takes place from Friday 1st June to Sunday 3rd June. There’s something for everyone from a Junior Fun Run where every participant gets a medal and certificate to a half iron man challenge and plenty in between. The event takes place in the West Wight so you’ll be running over some of the Island’s most spectacular scenery. Find out more here.
The Needles
With stunning views and plenty to do, The Needles Landmark Attraction is a fabulous place to spend the day with the family. Take a spectacular chairlift ride down to the beach, watch skilled sweet makers create sweets, create your own coloured sand souvenir at the sand shop, go for a spin on a traditional Victorian carousel or get drawn into an exciting world at the 4D cinema. Carisbrooke Castle
Famous for its donkeys and as a royal prison for Charles I, this May half term you can also experience Creepy Crawly Castle; get up close to all sorts of creatures that have made Carisbrooke their home. All the usual castle excitement is still on offer – watch demonstrations of the donkeys working the 16th century treadwheel, dress up as a soldier and experiment with armour and discover how to fire cannons. Official Bear Hunt Adventure Weekend
Join the We’re Going in an Isle of Wight Bear Hunt fun this half term! Take part in an Official Bear Hunt Adventure Weekend with the National Trust on 2nd and 3rd June at Newtown. “Squlech Squerch” through the mud, you can race a snail and take part in many more fun nature activities – you may even spot the bear!
