The Isle of Wight has many stunning beaches, with a good number of them being super pet friendly and permitting dogs all year around. This means that pooches on their holibobs can spend plenty of time at the beach with their family, allowing them to dip in and out of the sea and roll in the sand to their hearts content whilst their owners enjoy a leisurely day by the water’s edge.

The Island has a large number of beautiful beaches that are dog friendly all year round such as:
Bembridge -Pebble and sand beach with rock pools to explore at low tide.
Bonchurch – Sand and shingle mix and includes both Horseshoe and Monks Bay beaches.
Brook – Sandy golden beach
Colwell Bay (to right of slipway) – Hidden away this Quality Coast Award winning beach offers stunning views
Dunroamin – Found between Lake slipway and Hope Beach, Shanklin.
Fort Victoria – Perfect walks and amazing views
Players Beach – A hidden sanctuary, tucked away below Ryde Golf Course .
Reeth Bay – At the most southerly point a relaxing Sandy quiet beach great for dogs who like to run
Seagrove – A beautiful sandy stretch of beach between Seaview and St Helen’s beaches.
Seaview – A lovely sandy beach, a mix of pebble is areas and great for rock pooling
Woodside Bay – A area that’s less well known therefore a quieter beach alongside Wootton Creek.
Most of the Island beaches allow dogs out of season but enforced beach restrictions comes in to effect between 1st May and 30th September which prevents dogs being allowed to use them:

It is a great idea to bring your pet on holiday with you, there are many places to walk dogs on the Island as well as many pet friendly restaurants and cafes. The beaches are probably the best areas that your pooches will enjoy.
